About the role

The Wedding Sales Manager is responsible for managing a small, but highly experienced team of sales specialists to collectively deliver the wedding and event annual sales revenue budget. This role requires a keen commercial eye, someone who can not only look at weekly sales progress, but look further out to identify shifts in demand, booking patterns and pipeline health. They need to be able to motivate and inspire the team to reach ambitious revenue goals, alongside delivering industry-leading customer experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Team management 

    • Create a calm, yet ambitious sales culture, where everyone is inspired to do their best every day 

    • Ensure all sales KPIs are clearly articulated, and monitored weekly so that the team is very clear on where the effort is needed to achieve them 

    • Monitor team and individual achievements, rewarding success, and supporting development needs 

    • Deal with daily sales queries relating to dates, pricing and process, clearing roadblocks swiftly so that the team can get on with their jobs 

    • Manage regular team 121s and appraisals, hold regular sales-specific team meetings, and manage holiday requests 

    • Performance manage any under- performance issues  

    Sales Management 

    • Using the Sonas dashboards and reports, monitor all Sales KPIs daily to ensure these are on the right trajectory, highlighting any concerns to the Director of Sales and Marketing 

    • Oversee the sales pipeline, providing regular commentary to the Director of Sales and Marketing and Director on trends and patterns.  

    • Attend monthly meetings with the Director, Head of Finance and Director of Sales and Marketing to review progress to KPIs. 

    • Be a key stakeholder in the annual Pricing strategy meetings, contributing market knowledge and customer feedback to enable us to reach the right prices 

    • Oversee the Open Houses, to ensure we have the best dates booked and suppliers invited and that customer satisfaction remains high. 

    • Manage the Calendar of Events, so that sales opportunities are maximised and departmental needs are met 

    • Attend Showcases and Open Houses to sell in the Hedsor experience and offering 

    • Proactive in improving systems, processes, and customer journeys to increase efficiency and conversion. 

    • Be the main point of contact with our Sonas Customer Success manager for new software developments 

     

    Strategy  

    • Work closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing to develop new products so that Hedsor remains competitive and relevant for wedding couples, and new revenue streams are developed 

    • Work closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing to make budget projections and pricing recommendations. 

    • Contribute to the monthly KPI report which show the booking trends and patterns, and attend the meeting with the MD, Sales and Marketing Director and Head of Finance to discuss and follow up resulting actions.  

    • Review competitor’s offerings and pricing regularly and highlight any useful developments/changes to the Sales and Marketing Director 

    Client management  

    • Account manage wedding couples from enquiry through to hand-over to the Events DM team, ensuring they have an exceptional experience throughout 

    • Support the team, where needed, with any client disputes/grievances, seeking a successful resolution for both sides   

     

    Departmental working 

    • Ability to work collaboratively with Marketing, Operations, and Events to ensure sales promises are operationally deliverable. 

    • Sign off marketing collateral created by the marketing team for accuracy and advise on any new collateral needed for sales 

    • Together with the Director of Sales and Marketing, regularly review processes used to ensure the sales team is working as efficiently as possible and that any new policies or documents are shared. 

     

    Other 

    • Maintain a close working partnership with all Hedsor Preferred Suppliers, especially our package partners, highlighting any issues to the Director of Sales and Marketing 

    • Cover for any of the sales team when they are absent, either on info@, by running a Virtual Tour or Show Round, or taking over couple management 

    • Proactively look for opportunities to attend industry/networking events to represent the brand and develop relationships/grow revenues. 

     

     

About You

Qualifications

  • Education in sales, hospitality, travel and tourism and/or event management - highly desirable 

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent - desirable 

  • Maths and English GCSE – essential   

  • Sales and customer service training - desirable 

Experience and knowledge

  • Previous experience in a sales role with proven examples of having closed deals. This is a key objective of the role and only candidates who can demonstrate at least five years’ experience of this this will be considered. 

  • Experience of managing a team 

  • An understanding of the wedding industry is desirable. Alternatively, experience in event sales or other luxury services or products will be considered. 

 

Skills and abilities

  • The ability to lead and coach a high performing team, giving them the autonomy to work independently, but having the confidence to hold them accountable  

  • Proven ability to deliver and exceed revenue targets, with a strong grasp of forecasting, conversion rates, and pipeline management. 

  • Commercially astute, able to balance volume, margin, and long‑term brand value rather than pursuing short‑term wins at any cost. 

  • Confident analysing sales performance data and translating insight into clear actions and priorities. 

  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and a disciplined approach to processes, CRM usage, and follow‑up. 

  • A warm and friendly manner which quickly builds rapport with both internal and external stakeholders 

  • A persuasive, and confident communicator whether face-to-face, through emails, or over the phone. An excellent standard of spelling and grammar is essential 

  • An ability to remain calm under pressure and manage difficult conversations successfully  

  • Highly proficient in IT, with a good knowledge of Microsoft packages particularly Word, Outlook and Excel, along with CRM systems. Training will be given in the platform used by Hedsor.

• High level of personal presentation; this role represents the brand at all times

• Holds UK Driving Licence. As the Estate is not easily accessible via public transport, use of a car is essential
